West Texas AI - AI Consulting for West Texas Businesses
Founded by Cody McMurray. West Texas AI is an AI consulting firm for West Texas businesses. We find the work eating your week, build the system that runs it, and prove it before you trust it. We set up your AI, turn the knowledge in your head into files, prompts, and workflows, work alongside your team, and leave you owning all of it. West Texas. Not Silicon Valley.
What does West Texas AI do?
We teach owners and their teams to use AI to run their business, and to own it. In a four-week cohort we set up your AI, turn your expertise into files your AI can use, build the prompts and workflows for the work you repeat every week, train your team, and leave you with a 90-day plan. We do not build a done-for-you system and charge you forever. The skill lives inside your company, not inside a vendor invoice.
Do you build custom AI systems for us?
No. We do not build your business. We coach you to run it on AI, and you keep everything. We set up your AI and teach your team to use it. The goal is skill inside your company, not dependence on us. You leave with a way of working, not just a tool.
Do you offer free consultations?
The AI Readiness Score and the AI report are free, and they are a fine place to start. The working sessions are paid, because a plan built for your business is the product, not a sales call. You bring your biggest bottleneck. You leave with a plan you own.
How does the cohort work?
Four weeks of real work. Week one we set up your AI command center. Week two we turn your expertise into files your AI can use. Week three we build your prompt and workflow library for the work you repeat every week. Week four we train your team and lock the system. You leave with a working setup and a 90-day plan.
How much does West Texas AI cost?
The AI Strategy Hour is $300. The Owner Cohort is $2,400 per business for four weeks, with a five business minimum. Paid Advisory is $1,500 a month after the cohort. A private cohort for just your company and your team is available on request.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You need to know your business and be ready to change how the work gets done. We teach you the rest. You do not need to become technical. You need your own expertise, which is the part AI cannot replace.
What is a GEO audit?
GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization. A GEO audit scores how visible your business is to AI search engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. West Texas AI offers a free AI Readiness Score at westtexas.ai/readiness as a first look, then works with you to put AI to work in your business in the paid cohort.
Who founded West Texas AI?
West Texas AI was founded by Cody McMurray, based in Midland, Texas. A former pastor, he uses AI across his own work every day and sits with owners and their teams to build the same setup inside their business. Business owners, teams, entrepreneurs, professionals, and students. You work with Cody directly, not a support ticket queue.
Who does West Texas AI work with?
Anyone drowning in busywork. We do not pick you by your industry, because the boring, repeating work looks the same everywhere: the follow-ups, the quotes, the same twenty questions, the reports. If you run something real and the admin is eating your week, this is for you. Owners, entrepreneurs, professionals, and students. We do not build automations for a trade and hand you the bill. We teach you the skill to build your own tools and keep them current as AI changes.
How do I get started?
Start with the free AI Readiness Score at westtexas.ai/readiness. Then book an AI Strategy Hour or apply for a seat in the next Owner Cohort. Seats open in waves of five or more businesses. The AI Readiness Score, the AI report, and the AI visibility score are free. The working sessions are paid, because the plan you leave with is the product.
